Lessons in Entrepreneurship: The Good, The Bad, The Ugly

Jonathan Milner is the founder of life science e-commerce company, Abcam, and he will be talking about overcoming setbacks in entrepreneurship on 20 January.

Working as a breast cancer researcher at Cambridge University, and frustrated at being unable to source the quality antibodies that they needed, Jonathan and the research team decided to solve the problem by setting up their own company.

Abcam is now worth almost £700m and Jonathan uses his expert business knowledge as an angel investor. Passionate about supporting UK life science and high-tech start-ups, Jonathan has provided considerable investment and support to over 30 companies and has assisted three technology companies to IPO on the London AIM Stock Exchange.

This event has been organised by the Science Enterprise and Engagement Club and takes place at 4pm on Wednesday 20 January in the Enterprise Centre Lecture Theatre. Admission is free and there is no need to book. All welcome.
