What is CodeVita?
CodeVita is one of the world’s largest coding contests and it is organised by Tata Consultancy Services Limited (TCS) for university students. The main objective of the contest is to identify passionate coders across the globe and sharpen their programming skills through real-life computing practices. TCS also wishes to promote coding as a Sport via this contest.

Who can get involved?
Current students in undergraduate/postgraduate disciplines from an engineering/science background with any specialisation are eligible to participate.
How does it work?
CodeVita is a team contest. Each team must have 2 members (team members may be from a different year group or departments). The contest will be comprised of the following rounds:
- Round 1: This is the first round of the contest and will entail a series of real time problem statements. The top performers of this round will get qualified for the grand finale based on their global ranking. Round one begins at 4:30 AM, 12th Nov to 4:30 AM, 13th Nov 2016 (GMT)
- Grand Finale: To be held in one of the TCS offices in India. Exact date TBC.
When is the registration deadline?
The registrations will close on 6th Nov 2016 at 18.29 (GMT).

A UK based team won the TCS CodeVita global coding contest in 2015
Two students from Edinburgh University triumphed over 49,000 teams worldwide to win Codevita Season III. Marijonas Petrauskas and Karolis Greblikas emerged victorious after a 15-team, six-hour final in which competitors attempted to solve coding problems and algorithms.
